FiA and DG-SANTE Discuss NRMP Progress and Way Forward

September 5, 2022: The Delegation of European Union to Cambodia, Fisheries Administration (FiA), and UNIDO organized an official meeting with a representative of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) together with relevant key actors to share a strategic plan, particularly the implementation of National Residue Monitoring Programme (NRMP) to prepare Cambodia to be an eligible country to export fishery products to the EU market.

Representative of DG SANTE presented the process, modalities, and remaining challenges to comply with EU requirements in the perspective of an audit but more importantly provided very promising feedback towards mutual recognition attained from the European Union.

FiA and UNIDO made a presentation on the progress of CAPFish-CAPTURE: Post-harvest Fisheries Development Project.
